Household Hints - Cooking - Don't Crack Boiled Eggs

When hard boiling eggs add a little vinegar to the water and if they crack the white won't come out as much.

Since I do not enjoy the smell of vinegar, I simply add a generous amount (at least a tablespoon, maybe 1 1/2 to 2) to the water before I put in the eggs. That way in case any egg should crack any leaking white will set up immediately and stop the rest from escaping.
